For those not out and about in town at the moment I just had to show the Bonpoint autumn windows.
I love the windswept elongated scarves and the swaddled baby on a sheep, so cute. Bonpoint have also just launched their own organic skincare travel kit for the holiday season.
Quick posts this week as I am off to CPH Kids on Thursday for the Copenhagen fashion fairs and I have lots to do!

I went past Selfridges windows yesterday, another eye catching display from them for the winter season and good to see the focus is still on strong colour which seems to be a trend with legs. It will be interesting to see if the womens collections still have a bold vibrant palette for next summer too.

Great glasses display at Kirk Originals store
June 3, 2011
Love this glasses display for Kirk Originals eyestore on London’s Conduit St.
How modern and original is this! How out of date does it make so many other opticions look. No more to say really!
Except this is the company that makes Heston Blumenthal’s glasses and if they are good enough for him, they must be good.

This might just be me but I keep seeing window displays where the head of a model has been substituted by a giant ball of foliage or flora. I don’t know wether they are a deliberate homage to the famous Salvador Dali picture below or just an unconscious dream.
I find them a little unsettling, what do you think?
It stopped me in my tracks when I saw the fabulous display in Anthropologie’s windows.
How amazing are these vintage looking garment bags, and how simple to make yourself with old worn sheets and shirts. I love them all, especially the ones with the attached multi fabric tags, wish my wardrobe had such chic coverings!
How cute for a child’s wardrobe too, for those special party dresses or suits.
The Lanvin menswear store in Saville Row also gave me a chuckle as I went past. Very Monsieur.

Dolls at Chanel and Teddy Bear trees at Butler and Wilson, high fashion goes juvenile for Christmas.
December 14, 2010
Stopping by Chanel in Brompton Cross I had to snap these windows with a mini mademoiselle doll accessorising the models outfits. I started thinking about how many stores are producing child like toy accessories for adults now, and then I went down the Fulham Rd and saw these Teddy Bear trees in the windows of Butler and Wilson with crystal sparkling teddy bear brooches and key rings for sale.
Its a kind of nurserypedia, all things from childhood re-imagined for the adult whose inner child still wants that Christmas stocking.
And for those with still lingering memories of the nursery sheepskin rug, rather fabulous reindeer skins covering chilly steel chairs for smokers outside a London restaurant,

Harvey Nichols Christmas windows, just so weird! The aliens have landed.
November 25, 2010
What were they thinking?
I guess its good to cheer us all up and give us a laugh in the middle of recession but there is something really spooky about the alien models in Harvey Nichols Christmas windows.
Plus it all seems a little bit junky and tacky for such an upmarket store. Should provoke a lot of comment though, see what you think?

Cute christmas paper cut windows in Marylebone Lane in London
November 17, 2010
I spotted a window display at KJ’s Laundry store that stopped me last week and I just had to take a photo of such a carefully cut out paper display. On enquiring as to who the talented shop assistant was that had created this I was pointed in the direction of Suzie McLaughlin who specialises in lazer cut paper displays and who decorated Harvey Nichols for Septembers fashion week covering the first floor in colourful foliage.
These really should be viewed up close but I hope you can see the general feel of the windows.

Selfridges Christmas windows for Xmas 2010 are such fun.
November 5, 2010
I briefly saw these at the beginning of the week and had to go back and snap them later as they are such fun and so inspirational.
The whole of the front facade of Selfridges is covered in lush green fir foliage with sparkling white lights and the store inside is decorated with giant bauble rings.
The windows are jokey and quirky with googly eyes, blow up Betty Boop figures and fairground and playground themes.
If these don’t entice customers inside this Christmas then nothing will.
