What were they thinking?

I guess its good to cheer us all up and give us a laugh in the middle of recession but there is something really spooky about the alien models in Harvey Nichols Christmas windows.

Plus it all seems a little bit junky and tacky for such an upmarket store. Should provoke a lot of comment though, see what you think?

Its that time of the year, when stores go all out for impact with their Xmas windows, so what have I found here in London today, well I am loving the childhood touch at Lanvin ( below) and the general animal theme running through windows with reindeer at Graham and Green and the Beatrix Potter fantasy at Chelsea textiles.

More traditional styles with a twist at Muji and Cath Kidston.
