The other main fashion fair last week in Copenhagen was Ciff Kids. Larger and more commercial than CPH Kids it offers a mainstream selection with a few more individual labels as well. See a video of the fashion show here.

There was an emphasis here on bolder colour and prints in a tropical theme as well as softer sorbet pastels and lace trims, many of the exhibitors I had already seen at Pitti Bimbo in Florence or Bubble London so there was not so much that was new and trend led to discover.

My favorites are below;

Some of the labels exhibiting at Playtime are fairly well known and were also at Pitti Bimbo such as the Belgium brands Simple Kids, Maan and Zorra and from Amsterdam Kidscase and from the States Wovenplay who have a wonderful feather jewelled headband.

The maternity section is also well represented by popular brands such as 1 et 1 Font 3, Fragile, Menonove and Pietro Brunelli.

In the Interiors section I found a company with great looking mid century modern/retro  wood toys and furniture called Sirch from Denmark, their kids range is called Sibis.

Another company with interesting products, fashion and jewelry and a packed stand was Polder from France. My eye was also caught by some of the jewelry on display for children, some of it so delicate I wondered how long it would last such as these skulls below;

Now onto more clothes, other favorites I have seen at Pitti in the past include Tammy Donahue’s first issue from Spain exhibiting here instead this season, she has cute tweed pantees, skirts and coats mixed with cool rib knits and a Burberry tone trenchcoat for babies upwards.

Two more British exhibitors seen last season at Bubble, the clash of the fairs has proved problematic for some and should be sorted out for next year.

And finally the back of the presentation shown by Barbara Berrada, I am off to Bubble London on Monday and I am hoping for as good a selection there.
