Some of my favorite websites are currently on last reductions for summer children’s fashion before the winter stock arrives, I’ve picked a quick selection below and there are some real bargains around.
Of course sizing is limited but its way better to sale shop online than dragging yourself around the shops only to find the sizes you want are not there. All these sites carry the top designer labels for children and most are 50 – 60% reductions.
The ones I have featured here include The Children’s Salon with a Dior dress, Alex and Alexa with a Ralph Lauren boy’s blazer, Smallable with a cute Makie dress and a Kidscase stripey knit, Little Fashion Gallery with a gorgeous Anne Valerie Hash tutu skirt and a Soft Gallery T-shirt and finally Little Lunalu with some sweet Baby bloch metallic slippers and Ola and Olek frilled dresses.
Good hunting.
One of the constants at the Italian trade fair Pitti Bimbo which opens next Thursday is the top brand I Pinco Pallino.
They are celebrating 30 years as a brand this year and their distinctive delicate dressing up clothes style has seen the collection sought after by parents everywhere for special occasions, wedding, parties and just sheer delight in girliness.
I love them for their use of ginger models too, every season a new selection appear in their publicity and are used for their sadly infrequent catwalk shows.
Their offering now spans different price levels from the top end main range through to the more funky and casual 1950 range but the design concepts remain strong throughout.
The label is not sold widely in the UK but Harrods, Childrens Salon and Plum take a tightly edited selection, their strongest markets are the Far East, Italy and increasingly Russia where stand alone stores feature crystal chandeliers and ornate decoration.
Their shoes and decorated handbags are particularly sought after as garden party delights.
Their diffusion label 1950 often features retro styling from the 50’s and 60’s and boys are also catered for with smart suiting and leather jackets at I Pinco Pallino and striped and chequered combinations at 1950.
